I'm Aura and i'm a Javanese. So, in this opportunity, i would tell you a few myths in Java.
So here we go,
FIRST, Dont Eat In Front Of The Door. If you do it, you will hard to find your soulmate. Actually, i dont really believe it. The fact is the door is the thing to pass the building. So it can disturb someone who want to come in. If someone is in hurry, and you wont to move, you would be kicked by her/him. The other reasons are it's impolite and your meal can fall in down to the floor.
What is the relation of the soulmate and this myth?
I think nothing. "Love is mystery. It's all about destiny. You dont find love. But love finds you. So, your soulmate is decided by the God. Dont worry! Be happy!
Second, if u sweep the room, but the room is still on dirty. Your husband would have whiskers.
Some people think that it's okay. Cause, they will have husband like Zayn Malik or the preety handsome Arabic Prince. But me, i dont like it too much.
Actually this myth have relation with work ethic. Whatever u do, u must do it with maximal. So, u will get best result from it.
So, how about the husband has the whisker?
In the past, the man who has whiskers identic with criminals. So the girls were afraid . But, this thing doesnt work anymore in the present. Because, bad people at now dont have whiskers at all. I mean that not all of them have whiskers. And the guys who have whiskers is being trend and look so hot? And then there are men like to sweep. Does it mean that his wife will have whiskers? Of course not.
So, from two myths that i have told to u. I can take conclution that every myth has their own story. The myths can make us to be better than without the rules. It makes us to remember what should u do or what should not u do. I mean our forebear had created it with moral value too. Although, it little bit doesnt make any sense but it will give u a good message that u can use for your life.
